Rob is a UKCP registered psychotherapist with an upper class honours degree in psychology, a clinical MA in psychoanalysis and a post graduate diploma in CBT skills. He follows the BACP code of ethics.
Rob works with adults and adolescents providing short-term, solution focused therapy, and traditional open ended non-directive psychoanalysis. He works with couples providing marriage guidance and help with relationship issues in general.
Rob has worked with a wide variety of conditions, both long-standing and recent onset. These include anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, phobias, PTSD, childhood abuse/trauma, personality disorders and many more issues besides. Rob has also worked as a teacher, a youth worker, a residential carer in children's homes, a support worker for the homeless and undertaken many other related posts through agency work before training for five years as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist.
A requirement for his psychoanalytic training was to be in twice weekly therapy for the five years whilst on the course. This was an invaluable experience which means he is aware of the emotional ups and downs that undertaking psychotherapy can bring, but also the immeasurable benefits that come with a fuller understanding of who you are and why you behave as you do...
